- return to innocence -
The sophistication of technology has broadened the avenues through which entertainment is pursued today. Curiously, the path to happiness has not consequently been rendered any less obstructive as a result. Quite the contrary, the transparency of the idea of joy has become ever more under interference with myriad technological implements constantly bombarding us wherever we go, ensconsing us into vapid habits of satisfying our own social and recreational needs.
This series of photographs is not just about childhood. Every scene invites the viewer to substitute himself/herself for the subjects depicted, and reminds how pastime can still be enjoyed in the more simple, raw and pure ways that we can all remember from our younger days.
And, perhaps, through this process one might actually rediscover worthy reasons for a return to innocence in one's own being.
